Meineck the Hermit

Meineck The Hermit

The original art work for The Hermit was done by the world renown artist Peter Pracownik and was designed specifically for the Dragon Tarot Suite
In 1996 Peter granted the sole world wide licence to Sherry Symes-Meineck to put any of Peter's artwork into Cross stitch and Needle Work related designs.

The Hermit is the Ninth card in the Major Arcana. and is Sherry's 5th Dragon

Meineck The Hermit  The Hermit is known by many names including The Sage, The Shaman and Cronus.
His wings are his cloak which shows discretion. The lantern shows the way for the unknowing, by learning from The Hermit's example.
Withdrawing from the world of people and his settlement shown in the distance he meditated and found solitude.
The Hermit uses his vaulted position to see the world.
Above him are two glowing Orange lines which could be the points of a compass, showing a measured and exact approach, or maybe the outline of a pyramid, drawing down from the energies from the constellation Draconis.
He holds a lantern to show traveller's the way.
