X-Calibre King Solomans Knot by Carol Leather
X-Calibre King Solomans Knot is a design similar to those that appear often in Ancient Roman mosaics. It is represented as two interlaced ovals.
These "knots" can be seen in ancient synagogue's. They were clearly also used in Islamic buildings as part of the Muslim tradition, and, they were used by the Freemasons.
X-Calibre King Solomans Knot is designed along the same vein as "Celtic Cross" in that it isn't really blackwork, as it has no fills, it is stitched more linear allowing a small design to appear really rather intricate, even though it is not a difficult project to stitch.
